Product family:
The product family is a generic trademark of a brand to indicate a very wide range of products, that can encompass multiple categories. We include product family in the Icecat product title.
Celeron
Product name:
Product name is a brand's identification of a product, often a model name, but not totally unique as it can include some product variants. Product name is a key part of the Icecat product title on a product data-sheet.
335
Product code:
The brand's unique identifier for a product. Multiple product codes can be mapped to one mother product data-sheet if the specifications are identical. We map away wrong codes or sometimes logistic variants.

GTIN (EAN/UPC):
Global Trade Identification Number (GTIN) includes European Article Number (EAN), Universal Product Code (UPC) and Japan Article Number (JAN). They are better known as the barcode on a product's packaging to uniquely identify a product in a shop or logistic process. One product data-sheet can have multiple barcodes depending on logistical or product variants based on packaging, country, sizes, colors, etc.

The Central Processing Unit (CPU) or (micro) processor is the part of a computer where most calculations take place. In terms of computing power, the processor is the most important element of a computer system, so the performance of a computer is highly dependant on the performance of the processor. For quite some time the performance of a processor has been determined by the number of MHz the clock speed was, but nowadays clock speed doesn't have so much to do with the speed of the processor anymore. One of the best ways to compare different kinds of processors, is to look up benchmarks on the internet. Please be careful to buy a processor that is compatible with your motherboard, i.e. fits in the right socket.

Icecat Product ID:
The Icecat Product ID is the unique Icecat number identifying a product in Icecat. This number is used to retrieve or push data regarding a product's datasheet. Click the number to copy the link.
Data-sheet quality: created/standardized by Icecat
The quality of the product data-sheet can be on several levels:
only logistic data imported: we have only basic data imported from a supplier, a data-sheet is not yet created by an editor.
created by Intel: a data-sheet is imported from an official source from a manufacturer. But the data-sheet is not yet standardized by an Icecat editor.
created/standardized by Icecat: the data-sheet is created or standardized by an Icecat editor.

Intel Celeron 335 processor 2.8 GHz 0.256 MB L2 Box:
The official description of Intel Celeron 335 processor 2.8 GHz 0.256 MB L2 Box as supplied by the manufacturer. For easy access to this data, refer to the "ProductDescription" block and the "LongDesc" tag in XML or the "Description" block and the "LongDesc" tag in JSON.

Based on Intel’s industry leading 90nm process technology, Intel® Celeron® D processors in the 478-pin package now have 256KB L2 cache and 533 MHz front side bus.

Intel is introducing processor numbers as a means to identify the various features of the Celeron® D processor. The processor numbers assigned for the Celeron D processor are 320, 325, 330 and 335 which represent operating frequencies 2.40, 2.53, 2.66 and 2.80 GHz, 256MB L2 cache and 533 MHz front side bus.

Intel® 865 and Intel® 845 chipset based platforms are compatible with the Celeron D processors in the 478-pin package and require a board designed to Intel 90nm process technology specifications supporting 533 MHz front side bus. Contact your board manufacturer for compatibility.

The architecture of the Celeron D processor which enables higher frequencies and wider functionality resulted in a change in the thermal specifications for the processor. A higher performing thermal solution is required to meet the thermal requirements of processors
manufactured on 90nm process technology. The boxed Intel® Celeron® D processor features a thermal solution designed by Intel to provide an effective cooling solution that matches the processor. To minimize the acoustic noise levels generated from running the fan at higher speed for thermal performance, Intel recommends that Celeron D processor platforms be built with a Thermally Advantaged Chassis (TAC) version 1.0.
